With all the things going on in the world today, it is easy to become distressed by the amount of evil that is blatantly, boldly sweeping the nations. At no other time in history has there been a more coordinated effort by the tools of the evil one to intimidate and silence those that profess to be believers in Jesus. Everywhere one looks, one can see the advancement of every immorality known to man that once only flourished in the shadows, and not only is it accepted by this world, it is celebrated.
When I was a child, men were men and women were women. Now, one has to ask what pronoun a person prefers, regardless of what gender into which they were born. There are not many genders; only two. In the beginning, God created them male and female. Period. There are only two, and anything more is just a perversion of what God intended.
It is easy for believers to sit in silence and pretend all is right with the world because many of them are too afraid to stand up for the convictions we as Christians should have. Too many are only concerned with their own families and no more. Too many churches today have compromised their convictions in order to be more “seeker-friendly”. We are to be in this world but not of it. That means we are to actually live in this world and interact with the souls lost and dying, doomed to the lake of fire for eternity, and show them the true love of God through our actions both toward them and one another without compromising our convictions.
Just as Joshua stated to the Israelites, choose this day whom you will serve. If you choose to serve God, know that you will have to stand firmly upon the Word of God. Stand firmly in the knowledge that you will in all likelihood face persecution for those same convictions. Be bold and courageous, believer. God has not given you a spirit to fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind. He will be with you even until the end of the age. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You can put all your trust in Him. Stand in His perfect peace, no matter what you may face.
